In my city, there’s an extensive tramway network. About two decades ago, one of these trams derailed and crashed into a building containing a bank. There was one casualty: one bank employee.

Imagine working in a bank and then suddenly getting run over by a train at your workplace.

These kinds of stories always deeply sadden me. It's one thing to get run over by a tram close to the tram tracks - the danger is sort of assumed.

But dying at complete random inside a supposedly safe building where you do some soul-wrenching job is just fucked up. Not the way anyone wants to go.
