It’s becoming increasingly necessary to be able to tell what instance a community is being posted to.

If you use the large view for posts, rather than the compact view, then you will see the community name along with its instance.

Ah. Not worth giving up compact view, IMO, but good to know.

No worries, looking at the compact view there seems to be plenty of space to include the instance with the community name...🀞🏻
