You're supposed to have therapy before you start doing things you can't undo, among other things to make sure it's actually the child's choice.

Which is why blockers are useful. Either way, you've minimized potential harm.

Do you have to get therapy before tatoos or plastic surgery
And almost all hormone effets are reversible
From experience, "therapy" is just gatekeeping

hrt does permanently affect fertility in both men and women so it's not something that can be fully undone, hence the therapy requirement.
you must be absolutely sure before committing to it

We are talking about blockers, not hrt. Hormone blockers effects are reversible, and with hrt fertility is the only thing that's getting affected in the long run, but still you don't need to get therapy before getting a vasectomy.

Id like to add to the original comment that my body has been destroyed by an unwanted puberty and that yes, not getting blockers prescribed has harmed me

the comment you responded specifically mentions hrt though

Oh sorry I completely misread the original two comments, sorry about that. But still, while I do agree that you usually want to minimize potential harm, I still want to insist that therapy is not a good way of knowing if a person is really sure of it and it often into an infantilizing and unpleasant experience
