Can you share a link, a quick search didn't return anything.
Got the company wrong, it was TPCi who sued for the party.
Still, not much of a difference considering Pokémon does is the grossest money-printer for Nintendon't, and it wouldn't be offbrand for Nintendon't anyway to sue children dressing as Mario for Halloween, considering the stuff the linked article says is not any far from the instances where Nintendo has wiretapped or gaslighted ope source developers. Given the corporation, just because I have not heard about it doesn't mean it hasn't already happened.
TPC did go too far in that instance, though it was a fan event, not a birthday party, but still, I agree with you there.
As for Nintendo, that is just a satirical site, so let's ignore that, and not go into hypothetical.
Still, no matter how much we like (or dislike) any company, they aren't our friends. The only goal of a company is increase profits, and if we think the way they are doing isn't fair, then we should definitely vote with our wallets.
You are more than welcome to raise awareness of Nintendo's issues in the community, just keep it friendly with other people who may or may not share your opinions. As the rules state, no hate-speech or personal attacks on anyone.
