A few drops of unscented dish soap in warm water did remove a little of the greasy/grimy ear drops residue from Melbcat's fur. I could see some dirt came off on the cloth, but not that much. I'll just keep making gentle attempts with it very well diluted in water on a facewasher. I could suds up more directly but don't want to do that near her eyes, it might dry her skin out, and she isn't going to let me pour water near her face to rinse it all properly.
I've put on earmuffs and done one room with the screamer vacuum. It's wobbly and coming apart a bit down the centre but the new one is coming soon. Maybe I can even use it more without worrying about burning it out. Melbcat was actually more chill with the noise than usual, coming past while it was on to have some water and approaching to let me know to scoop her box. I do have her on quite a high dose of Zylkene.

so many hugs for being such a good cat friend ๐ป๐
She's now in the hiding spot least visible to me after I did the first maintenance ear wash... I'm in the doghouse.
I think that typing of hers was an attempt to call for help or report me.
