Not a parent, so y'know, grains of salt.

But something that really, really helped me when I was that was having a parent that open, honest, and frank about those things. The fentanyl thing wasn't around yet, thank God, but she did have the laced drugs conversation with me, and even offered to get weed from her guy that she trusted should I start to get curious about trying it. If I were growing up today, I'd imagine she would probably order some of those drug purity test kits to keep around, just in case.
