Honestly, I don't know if I've ever seen the D2 community so united in being upset than this. It obviously meant something though. Never seen a response quite like this.
I've been actively avoiding Reddit and Twitter so I've missed out on a lot of the drama, but I think the last time I saw the community this worked up was back during season 10 (Worthy). No clue if you were playing back then, but it was the beginning of the pandemic so people had way more time than normal on their hands, and the season was pretty bare bones (lost sectors, a public event, and a couple missions on the PvE side). I remember r/DTG being a hot mess, especially since the FOMO had been dialed way up with the seasonal model (everything in a season went away as soon as the next season started).
