All those other newer animations simply arent level-headed enough. They are too impulsive. Not like old, predictable, dull-as-dishwater Futurama.

But I wish Disenchantment became more popular, better advertised, and more predictable release scheduled. Because that was imho the same type of humor but with a fresh new twist. This new return of Futurama just feels like a Futurama rerun. Like nothing has changed in 10 years. Still fun though.

They should have done more with Fry and Leela as a couple, I think could add a bit more twist to it while not scaring the more conservative viewers.

I soooo wanted to love disenchantment. I waited patiently and I've watched it, a few times. It's not good. It's not funny it's pretty dull and they just didn't put that much humour into it. Real let down. I enjoy the animation and the fantasy but it's nothing on konosuba or something similar.

Each to their own, I find it funny, though it is just as bad as Futurama at repeating jokes.

Im no fan of anime and manga, with a few exceptions. I haven't seen or read Konosuba. Only seen a few fan-arts of it. Didn't know it was comedy. Maybe I'll try a few episodes.

Oh absolutely. I like the fantasy of Futurama and think they are doing things that don't require that fantasy. It could be the year now and the exact same plot could play out. I think that's where the future has caught up to Futurama, they are actually behind the times now.

I like konosuba as it was a fantasy world but without all the seriousness and was just a goofy. Similar to one punch man. It's making fun of the genre. It's easy watching and was a breathe of fresh air.

It's now been done to death and honestly doesn't hit like it did 10 years ago. But it's where I was hoping disenchantment was going but it never knew what it wanted to do and just kinda flailed about.
