You're also not going to find many people talking about friends or family in that way before they die. Whether it is because a person takes their relationships for granted. Keep their private feelings, private. Or shows their love and appreciation in less public ways. There are many reasons you won't often see what you're saying is required to actually care for a person. Because it's not a common way of showing care. Looking for and appreciating the (small) actions people do for those they care about is a much better way to see things. Viewing life and death through such a depressing cynical lens is pitiable. I hope you can one day find a less depressing and shitty view of things.

I say that with full understanding that there are people like you say getting some perverse glee about someone's death to boost their socials off of but that is a tiny minority are closer to your view of society than the actual general person.
