@ImInPhx@lemmy.sdf.org explained it very well. There are hidden source forges on the I2P network. An example of such a service with a clearnet address is https://i2pgit.org/ where I2P itself is also hosted and developed. It's a gitlab instance in I2P.

Dedicated developers could host their own gitlab or gitea instance in I2P and could ignore any messages from Sony, Nintendo or whatever else exists as they would be meaningless.
