The idea of a movie has been built up in our heads for so long. I hope they didn't play it too safe

It'll be a prequel movie, set in the final months of high school where they all encounter their problems that cause them to go to community college instead of their chosen path.

Yes, staring the same cast.

The cast that is all 40+ years old now.
