Is it looking likely that Trump is going to be president again?

He’ll almost certainly be the Republican party’s nominee.

The results of the general election in November will determine who the people elect as the next president.

I just had a look at the Gallup Approval polls and the election polls and it looks to me like a Trump re-election is a real possibility. When he beat Hilary Clinton I was dumb-founded as I did not expect that in my wildest dreams.

Generally speaking in a two party system one of the two parties’ candidates will win. If Trump is on the ballot for the general election then yes, he has a possibility of winning. Although an independent, if they make it onto the ballot, also has a chance of winning, as would whomever the democrats nominate.

That’s how elections work.

Yes! Thanks ! I do understand how elections work, but I was more asking about what the current climate was like in the US. I am curious about whether people are talking about Trump / Biden positively or negatively, especially relative to the last election. I can look at polls and online comments but I can't see what it is like around there as I am across the world.

As with most of the recent presidential elections, it really comes down to whether enough Democrats come out to vote. Rebuplican voters consistently vote so they're kinda the default winners in low turnout elections. Imo bio Biden has done alot with what he has to work with but people are pretty unhappy about his support of Israel. It also comes down to if dem voters are scared enough of another Trump presidency to go vote.

Yes.

You’ll find out there’s a variety of opinions and takes and that, ultimately, we won’t really know how it’s going to shake out until the election.

Short of Trump being disqualified, or some other unexpected happening, the general election will be Trump and Biden and the votes will answer your question about who’ll be president for a second term.
