..hope this is still on topic.

I've had this lamp collecting dust for about ten years with the plan to repair it at some point. Now i wanted to build a bird feeder for my balcony and remembered the lamp and thought i'd try this. I love it and the birds seem to love it too. Or maybe it's the nuts they love.

Can't wait for the season to begin so i can grow some plants too again.

What a clever idea! I'm curious about what the string hanging from it is for?

Right? I wanted to build a feeder that keeps the bird shit away from my table and balcony floor. I still have a feeding plate on the table but i think i will remove it after winter.

The string is just so that it doesn't go all over the place in the wind. It was quite stormy in the last days and i was a bit worried, but i'm quite impressed with the storm proofness, there were some heavy gusts. Wind comes always from the left.

*edit: String is long enough that i can still turn the lamp onto my table to refill etc.
