A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Rules

  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title

That's not at all what they're saying. They're saying that 3 is not between 1 and 2. They could have also have said there's a continuum of real numbers between 1 and 2 but none of them are 3.
