I have never understood the obsession with coffee. I drank it once. It was bitter scorching sadness. Why is everybody obsessed with coffee?
each person has their own palate, most adults tend to develop a palate for bitter foods like coffee, beer, high % cocoa chocolate, etc
It's not a rule, but a tendency, If you don't like It now maybe you're too young or your palate went another direction, not a problem imo
My palate apparently went another direction.
That was bad coffee. There is good coffee. Also, caffeine makes me feel good and get things done
Because it contains an addictive drug.
I used to hate coffee until I had espresso. Like, good, syrup-consistency espresso. It tasted like a really good dark chocolate.
I drink decaf now, but I just really like a good cup of strong coffee. I make mine in a moka pot as I'm to poor for espresso, but it can just brighten my day.
I like bitter foods though. Your pallet may just be incompatible with it, like how some people just can't do spicy or mushrooms or whatever.
Because of the psychoactive stimulant that builds tolerance quickly.
it's tasty, that's about it. and fun. caffeine is also a factor for some but not necessarily for everybody.
