This is where I recommend the best version of A Christmas Carol: Scrooged.
Muppet Christmas Carol is the best version
I'd call it a tie and host a double feature.
The one thing it retains from the story that no other adaptation has is a narrator.
What year did it come out or can you link the IMDb page? I'm having troubles finding it amongst all the other Christmas Carols.

It brought up the Spanish version of IMDB for me. The name of the movie in Spanish is "Los fantasmas atacan el jefe" The ghosts attack the boss. That seems like a good take on the original.
