The Windows machines I manage at work have been auto downloading all kinds of shit like this lately. Microsoft is becoming really trashy.

Normally yes, but not using Windows is just not an option for most people, if they're not Mac users and aren't tech savvy enough to use Linux.

Even if they are Mac users or tech savvy, not using Windows is often not an option. So many proprietary programs are Windows only.
