Because that means some developers are being arbitrarily charged at 30% fee basically. In Google has iterated over and over again that they don't really want to negotiate it yet. For some reason they were willing to make a secret deal with Spotify?

I don't understand this fascination with people and then wanting to know legal business dealings. If it's illegal, have them put into the court system. But even then, it has nothing to do with users.

It is indeed a hacker news mirror on lemmy afaik. And that being said lemmy isn’t really an average user crowd either.
