Good. Your team got beaten. You lost. It happens. Refs do make mistakes, they are human, but so do players and managers.

In the end, the refs are bound to what can be seen and, with regards to offside and out of bounce, what can be proven. Even the var cannot overturn an AR with a maybe or a most likely. It has to be proven and the curve of the ball with a downward angle is very misleading.

In the end it is about respect for each other’s position and seriously, have you ever heard a ref give this kind of bullshit to a manager? No: that is what respect means. Looking to yourself before pointing out others and not doing this actually hurts on multiple levels.

  • it disrespects the game and all it’s participants. Even the ones that rightfully won.

  • it opens up a space for all to criticize refs on all levels; lowest youth, amateurs and professional play.

  • it is the main cause young refs leave the game causing an overall shortage and endangers overall quality

It has to stop somewhere and his is as good a place as any. Because no ref means no game. End of story. Managers, however, are not strictly necessary.
