Afternoon everyone,

I wanted to go over a few points related to pricing, stats and the roadmap

Pricing

  1. Sync for Lemmy is completely free with ads (the same as Sync for Reddit)

  2. You can remove ads in the account picker or drawer for a one time fee of ~$20

  3. Sync Ultra also removes ads but it's not required

  4. I'll be working on regional prices over the coming weeks

There are now 24k installed users up from 100 the previous day!

I'm going to be spending the next few days going through all of the comments / messages and fixing any crashes.

As always thanks for the support and hope you're liking Sync!

Where are the ads everyone's talking about? I haven't seen any and I haven't paid anything or will they only start when it's out of beta?

As far as far as I've seen, they're on the feed but are currently showing up as black boxes. Maybe the ads aren't fully running yet?

Edit. Nevermind, I guess I randomly hit "do not consent" during setup Another edit: now they're working. Must have been from today's update

I already have a DNS blocker so I only see blank spaces between posts, maybe it's something like that for you as well?

[โ€“] blacklizardplanet@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nope. I don't see any spaces. Someone else responded saying they selected "Do Not Consent" on original setup and I think I did the same.

I also did the same yet I still see the empty spaces. I also tried revoking GDPR and still seeing the same spaces. Interesting.
