I wouldn't be surprised if it's because their stock data and viewing is pretty mature and a lot of people would go for that alone.

Yahoo finance is great at immediately displaying useful and digestible data and the redesigns have been very conservative.

I still use my Hotmail address but it's only for signing up for stuff. It's spamtown in there.

My Hotmail address turns 24 this year. Still used for signups

We set ours up around the same time. I lost access to my oldest Hotmail account because I was a teenager embarrassed of the name.

I wish I had held onto it.

It works well enough, and it keeps Google from knowing absolutely everything about me.

I was shocked to see it on some resumes recently. And these are for tech positions.
