this is a Euler diagram, not a Venn diagram.
All Venns are Eulers, not all Eulers are Venns.
Venn diagrams have to show an intersection (overlap) of how all combinations overlap.
If there's a possible combination that could exist, but does not - it's not a Venn.
Something that looks like the Olympic rings is not a Venn diagram because the ring on one end isn't connected to the ring on the other end.
I know lol. It's just that "Euler rule" also gives people associations to the 100 other things that are named after the guy, and besides, XKCD said Venn.
Edit: In hindsight, I could just have written "Rule diagram" and this conversation would never have arisen
