Not sure they have sugar, thanks to the events explained in HZD. Sugar cane may well be extinct.

They have honey, I think.

They've got fruit. Just not sugarcane.

In any case I'm not sure they care too much about waxing when there's giant robot dinosaurs trying to kill them.
