I would love the child of a Surfacebook with a Framework laptop; or A bare keyboard attached to a screen, that I could plug my phone (possibly running Phosh) and use it as a hardware for a laptop experience

This exists. Get a cheap netbook and stick your Linux distro of choice on it, and then just use it to ssh to things.

Lol dude what are you talking about? I just searched for β€œnetbook” and the first few links are Amazon and Best Buy product listings for netbooks.

Those aren't really netbooks though. But I guess the term now just stands for 11.6" laptop.
