I know it’s illegal and immoral because of that, but is there anything inherently immoral about betting that your club will WIN? I mean, if he bet on loosing, ties, yellow cards, minutes where the goal is scored, etc. But winning? That’s basically what he’s paid to do.

I know the issues with managers betting on their teams to win is that they may use players up to get a win, that they otherwise wouldn't have, at the cost of future games.

But I'm struggling to see where a player might have an issue.

If he has a higher financial incentive on a specific game, he may take a tactical red card that he otherwise wouldn’t have for one example
