It's probably good for Serie A as it allows our clubs to offer bigger wages and so be more competitive on the transfer market but it's definitely bad for Italian NT..
Seeing Starting XIs like AC Milan or Napoli (one only italian in both, the Right Backs Calabra and Di Lorenzo), seeing transfer policies as
AC Milan that this summer sold a generational for our NT Tonali to replace him with players from abroad only just to take advantage in full force of Growth decree and save on salaries
or
AS Roma that given had no money, proceeded to get a bunch of bang average players as Aouar, Ndicka, Kristensen, Llorente for the same reason instead of betting on some italian youngster, from their youth as Volpato or Tahirovic or Missori
Except for Inter (Bastoni, Dimarco, Barella, Frattesi) I don't see anymore italian top clubs caring to develop homegrown player.
But like who though? There's a severe lack of good talents in the league, and the ones that are actually good are overpriced compared to talents from elsewhere.
