Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Today I will be telling my boss Im quting come Feb. It's not a great time, but in my industry it never is, and I feel like giving more notice is better than waiting for a "good time".

I don't really owe them anything and my leaving isn't gonna effect the behemoth of a company, but my boss has been very supportive and so I feel like I owe her atleast that much. The nerves are real though

Good luck! Plenty of notice is best, so they can arrange a replacement and have you train them up before you go.

Yeah, can be a weird experience handing in your notice. It's good to have some degree of loyalty, but at the end of the day, it's your livelihood so you've got to do what's best for you.

Good luck!

It's natural to feel some anxiety even though you're doing the right thing. Hope it goes well!
