Yeah I have a lot of vegetarian Indian friends, not as many vegan.
You do get veganism at the extreme end of Dharmic paths of reducing harm, they are who largely invented the concept, but it's not expected from most people.
Oh sounds like I need to do more reading. I've had a few jain friends, that's along the Dharmic path right?
Like, they couldn't kill the mosquitoes that were biting them and it drove them nuts. I applaud their restraint.
