When I am scrolling/browsing a particular feed(say subscribed or all), what is the expected behaviour of the posts button in the bottom feed. Is it supposed to scroll to the top of thr feed, scroll up a fixed amount of posts or something else entirely¿? Everytime I use it, it seems the feed scrolls up by a different amount

I'm guessing you're referring to the Jump button that appears when viewing a posts comments, seems to jump down through the comments with each tap, whilst a longer press will jump back up through them..

No in the bottom nav bar we have five options/button - posts, inbox, search and settings. I am inquiring about the what the post button is supposed to do when i am scrolling around my feed(subscribed, all or local) because it behaves very erratically.

Ohhh I see what you mean now, the posts button opens side menu, or can jump back up through a scrolled feed, and then opens the side menu once the top of the feed is reached. At least that's how its been working and pretty consistent

can jump back up through a scrolled feed

The amount it jumps up varies everytime I press it.

When at the top it consistently opens the side menu though

I only tend to use it to get back to the top, wondering if it mimics the downward scroll actions, hence the different level of jump... 🤷🏻‍♂️

Same here. Weird that behaviour is consistent for you and not for me
