A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

I wish they would come out with this one on PC.
Emulation is your friend. Would be nice to have the remake, though.
Yeah, I mean the remake. I tried playing the original a few years ago, and I just couldn't get into it with the old graphics.
Thanks for making me feel old.
My back hurts.
Lmao, I'm an older gamer myself. My problem is that I missed the PS1, N64 through PS2, Xbox era because I was too old for my parents to buy my video games, but too young to buy them for myself. I had a SNES as a kid, then jumped straight to the Xbox 360 and PS3. So I don't really nostalgia for PS2 graphics.
I feel it's easy to go back and re-play an old game, but it's really hard to get into an old game that you never played.
Plus, the fact that a remake exists makes it hard to justify playing the original.
Been avoiding this one since I had the game spoiled for me forever ago. I feel like I should also play ICO.
SotC is still worth playing even if spoiled - for me it's about the overarching feeling through the entire experience that is really special. Very lonely and isolating but beautiful and tragic.
ICO I tried to replay recently but found it too clunky, but that's probably because I don't often play retro games so don't have the feel for them anymore. I did love it when I played it decades ago though.
Also, definitely add The Last Guardian to this list. It's incredibly unique, and I absolutely loved the aspects of it that frustrate some people - just try to think of it like you're trying to communicate with an actual animal, not a game.
