Universal Link: !whatisthisthing@lemmy.world

Direct link: https://lemmy.world/c/whatisthisthing

Sidebar:

Let us help you identify that mysterious object you’ve found.

Currently in CHALLENGE mode: If you’ve got something obscure knocking about, post a picture, and let’s see how we do. Please prefix such posts with “CHALLENGE:” so we know we’ve got a fighting chance.

I'll also make a cross post in the community being promoted, as a way to bring the community up in people's feeds and also let people know about !communitypromo@lemmy.ca

The "universal" link doesn't work for me on kbin.social but this seems to be it if you're accessing through kbin: https://kbin.social/m/whatisthisthing@lemmy.world

Good to know, I'm going to add a recommendation to have both a direct and 'universal' link

Thanks. On kbin your current universal and direct link look like exactly the same URL, but the pattern for kbin URLs seems to be https://kbin.social/m/@ for communities non-local (to kbin.social) generally.
