Well it's not really working because we are not creating content to show it.
There's the issue we have. People make fun of it when I say it but we do not shit post nearly enough.
People are so ready to go punch a Nazi when that day comes but ask them to create one of these accounts or download gimp and make content or just share content and build networks and all of a sudden you're an asshole asking the impossible.
I listen to Sam Seder and Jon Stewart and see daily clips that if we showed them to any trumper they would shut the fuck up. Like a digital punch. There's no way for them to worm out an excuse when their guy says something dumb or hypocritical. And you know what? Other people see that and start to see behind the curtain. But we don't actually do that. Instead we stay here on Lemmy and scoff at things but we don't then go out and use the Internet to spread it.
I'll actually challenge anyone here to suggest to me any place on Lemmy that I could maybe post clips that you'd see on Sam Seder or Stewart. I really don't think there are and yet those are probably the most effective things we could share to make trump people eat shit. Why is it that we don't have that?
Why do you think you couldn't post them here? Or any of the other hundred meme/politics/shitpost communities
It's not the correct format. You couldn't post a clip just to discuss how stupid it is. It's not Meme and it isn't an article. At least none I've seen. Do you know of any
