Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

MODERATORS

As of June 25, 55.1 percent of Americans viewed Elon Musk unfavorably, while 37 percent had a favorable opinion—a sharp shift from early 2024, when the numbers were roughly even, according to Silver Bulletin.

"Musk is still popular among Republicans, but he's less popular than he used to be and less popular than other Republican figures," elections analyst Eli McKown-Dawson wrote.

He killed his Dem fans by going MAGA. Then, killed MAGA fans going against their orange god. All-around idiot that got lucky investments with daddy's money.

Jump in one of those exploding rockets, Elon. It surely won't blow this time.

I mean, him Titan CEO'ing himself on the way to Mars as a showcase that his tech is safe, is well within plausibility

He could do that today by showing off how reliable the collision detection and braking systems are on his Cybertruck.

Solid chance he does the same thing in one of his robotaxis

He isn't taking his own robo taxis.

Does he even drive a tesla?

He does. He required their charging port to be where they are due to the layout of his garage at the time when they designed the Model S

I don't know, the stream where his entire goal was to prove how good starlink was for gaming where he immediately blamed all his deaths on poor connection quality, sort of implies he has trouble putting his products before his ego.

And while he is an expert at deluding himself, I think we have already passed the point where even he could be convinced his rockets were safe.
