If you see these guys, the air quality is good!
This is the view above the rock- that’s coastal fog, not smoke there. Some of the best air quality in the area I imagine.
Feels comfy, abouts how long did you end up sitting there? When I get views like these, I can't seem to move for at least thirty minutes. But sometimes an hour or so. Before I start the trek back.
Not long, actually. Didn’t know how long the hike to the top was and realized the parking lot was going to get locked at sunset and I was cutting it close. Also it was extremely windy and cold with the fog coming in, and I was dressed for the hot weather 900 feet lower.
If I’d been more prepared I would have stayed a lot longer.
View of the ocean:
Looks beautiful! I understand, I was once talking with a guy who owned a sea-front store. He said he made a killing off of tourist coming for the ocean then getting smacked by the mist. I kid you not!
nerdy reason needed
Lichens are sensitive to pollution, so cannot grow in places with bad air quality. As far as I know. Perhaps someone else can elaborate?
