Trump doesn't know what the word mediate means.

He actually offered to help mediate, I said 'do me a favor, mediate your own. Let's mediate Russia first, okay?'" Trump told reporters at the White House. "I said 'Vladimir, let's mediate Russia first, you can worry about this later.'"

Also Trump three days ago: In addition, Trump told ABC News that "it's possible we could get involved" in the conflict and said that he would be "open" to Russian President Vladimir Putin being a mediator in the conflict.
