Yeah, there's something deeply sickening about the reversal of American patriotism from taking pride in defeating the Nazi regime to embracing its ideals and telling Germany they should forget their national shame regarding the Holocaust
Nationalism kinda always has that risk I suppose. I like to think of "loving America" as meaning its people, my neighbors, my community, the Americans
