Boelter appeared to have an interest in electoral outcomes, posting on LinkedIn six years ago, urging "everyone to vote in the election on Tuesday."

And that counts as modern journalism. Fuck me if they get hold of my lemmy posts.

The suspect fired at the officers; gunfire was exchanged and the suspect was able to escape and flee on foot, authorities said.

That freaks me out. If I got out of this house after a firefight with the pigs, I'd have hundreds of acres to hide in that I know very well. I'd expect to be a corpse within the hour, 4 at the very best.
