Hasn't Jigsaw killed some of them for really stupid reasons, though? I don't remember most of the details, but weren't some of them basically just lazy and a bit dickish?
Though I'd be willing to chock those up to bad writing more than Jigsaw letting his morals slip, since he makes it very clear in multiple scenes what his intent is.
I mean yeah, he is not perfectly consistent nor 'reasonable', and... some nonsense plot inconsistencies/holes begin to crop up as the entire series keeps going.
That being said: I'm not saying I'm 100% guaranteed to be safe.
I'm saying I think I have pretty good odds, and thus so would a lot of other people who are self-aware and contemplativr enough to not be massive moral hypocrites, or in denial of or hiding some horrible secret in their past.
Yea, and in either case, he clearly researches his targets and traps them more than hunts them, so even if you were outright a target, he might take too long, or devise a plan where you could wait out the 24 hours anyways even if caught. ... assuming you'd be let out at 24 hours. lol
