More like a wow moment and not so much a smile or laugh moment. But anyway, today at work I was serving this old lady with a walking frame and a personal assistant. She was pretty self reliant and looked just like any other elderly customer. A bit hard of hearing which isn't unusual. Asked if she had her customer loyalty card, had to look her up in the system so asked her details.
Asked her date of birth. She was born in 1927.
1927
That's the lowest number I ever entered in that field. It really surprised me. I was expecting something 1940s or mid late 1930s. The previous record was a customer from 1928 and she wasn't in the same condition as today's lady unfortunately.
I don't know, I just felt like sharing that somewhere. It's kind of awesome meeting someone that old who is also in such good condition.
I was at an event recently, and one of the speakers was a hair over 100 years old, born in 1925. They were remarkably articulate, and it was so interesting listening to the perspectives they had with the massive amount of life experience they have. It was super impactful listening to them talk.
