Buying a new PC nowadays is just stupid. There are a ton of perfectly fine laptops beings scrapped every day by companies, just buy used and install Linux on it

For many people Linux still isn't the perfect solution due to industry specific software being only available for Windows. I do agree that for most people Linux would be fine on their personal device.

Sure, but this has nothing to do with the discussion here.

We are talking about the right to not have an imposed license at purchase, this is because you don't want to use windows but Linux. But buying a new PC for Linux is quite stupid, since the used market is overloaded of used uses PCs and it will probably go crazy in a few months with end of support of Windows10.
