The U.K. suspended free trade talks with Israel on Tuesday and hit West Bank settlers with sanctions, less than a day after vowing “concrete actions” if Israel didn’t stop its new military offensive in Gaza.

Well, just last week, UK government lawyers were claiming "no evidence of genocide in Gaza" while defending the sale of military equipment that may flow to Israel, so the UK certainly seems to be talking out both sides of its ass. Or arse, as the case may be.

18 months of Israel's indiscriminate slaughter of Palestinian civilians - mainly in Gaza but also increasingly in the West Bank by military forces and paramilitary "settlers" - and this looks like a pretty damn tepid response.

Better than nothing. But not much better.
