Previous head who went above and beyond for me. I never had a chance but I got one with him

Mainly he showed me compassion, praise and made the system work for me. Never wanted nothing in return

Okay wow, that's really decent. Not favouritism nor pity, just doing his job to support the next generation and giving praise where praise is due.
