Which makes me what made those male rats gravitate towards the female rats in makeup and a microskirt thingie...
What I mean is that the study contrived the situation such that their first time having sex would be with a female in a vest. This caused the rats to associate the vests with sexual pleasure and form an association between clothing and sex. Similar studies have trained rats to associate other things with sex as well.
