I can't imagine how much it must suck for him right now if he didn't do it. Like, the way they're treating him is awful regardless, but I imagine that being responsible for the widely praised act would help a little (gosh, it must feel so awkward to have so many fans if he wasn't the one who did it โ€” it has stolen valour vibes (except presumably he wouldn't have chosen to be the scapegoat))
