- We take for granted that if you engage in this community, you understand that veganism is about the animals. You either are vegan for the animals, or you are not (this is not to say that discussions about climate/environment/health are not allowed, of course)

Chicken is so fucking gross to me. It LOOKS like something that would give you cancer, lol.
Right? I mean it is all dead carcasses, they just apply learned disconnect behavior. Tell them to eat a dog, and they lose their f'cking minds. No difference.
Man, I still eat some meat (will fully stop some day), and that disconnect is crazy among the people who don't really think critically about what they eat. I got on a rant about how south Korea shouldn't have to make eating dogs illegal if we're still gonna slaughter thousands of pigs per day, and everyone looked at me like I was nuts.
Exactly! Years of programming, of teaching them "this" is not like "that." Sorry, Blanch, but it is. huh.
