I think ffprobe is from ffmpeg which is software for doing anything with video. Here it was probably some kind of conversation.
The ffprobe command is used to get information about video (& maybe audio?) files. For example, you could use it to check a video's container format (like mp4), video format (like AV1), audio format (like AAC) & subtitles.
