ADHD is like autism. It's a new diagnosis, but people have likely had the symptoms for centuries. It just didn't have a name until now. This will keep happening as more and more is learned about the brain.

If sounds like you might have ADHD. Whether or not you want to get treated depends upon how badly it affects your life. Personally, my symptoms interfere with my long-term planning, and that has made my life much worse.
