Dealing with an emergency and all they have is old men who don’t have what it takes to take on the rabid GOP. Never understood why the US system is dominated by such old people.

Seats on committees and chairmanships are determined by seniority.

Only because that's the way the Democratic party decides it is. Republicans don't follow the same practice. These are informal rules agreed upon internally, not anything legally binding

And to get seniority you need to stay in office and to stay in office you need money and to get stable money you need corporate money and there's always something they want in return.

Committees need to have more formal rules involved... The way they're currently set up is poor at best

They should just gate the whole American leadership and treat it like a giant old age home at this point

Tell them all that they've been sworn in for a lifetime and just pump them all with anti psychotic drugs, pretend that they are actually doing things and having meetings and just contain them all for the rest of their lives.
