Yea I've seen some breakdowns from people who post really cool space photos. There's a lot that can go into making the images look amazing.
Maybe there are some nice free (and open source ๐) tools people here will suggest for quickly editing images. There is Gimp as the article mentions, but it's not the easiest to quickly filter with
