When your country acts in a way to make you lose your national pride, that is not your fault. Your brand of nationalism is what lead to the current state of America to begin with. There's nothing wrong with wanting your country to be better and do better, deluding yourself that it is better is fucking insane. Saying "America has its own issues" does not even begin to cover it when they're leading the charge for homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, bigotry, and every other kind of hate under the sun. They're taking on the role of Germany just before WW2 and your comment is that the country has its issues.
Boycotting is part of the solution, at least for non-Americans. Here's an American who is just cheering it on. I don't think there's anything at all wrong with that.
I'm not American, and I have been boycotting American, not sure what you mean.
